Akdital starts its overseas expansion with a Riyadh hospital

Tuesday, September 8, 2026

Akdital, Morocco’s largest private hospital operator, has opened its first facility outside its home market: the 140-bed Akdital Olaya hospital in Riyadh. The group entered through an existing hospital rather than starting from scratch, giving it an operating base in Saudi Arabia while it adapts its care model to a new market. Akdital plans to put about SAR 5.3 billion into Saudi operations by 2030, with a goal of reaching 1,000 beds. That makes the Riyadh opening more than a single hospital launch: it is the first working piece of a much larger bet on Saudi Arabia as the company’s route to regional growth.
