Apple hires Meta litigation veteran to lead global disputes

Apple has hired Scott Tucker, Meta’s longtime litigation chief, as vice president of global litigation and financial services, a newly created role. He will oversee commercial lawsuits, patent disputes worldwide, and legal issues tied to Apple’s financial products; Heather Grenier, who currently handles the company’s commercial and competition litigation, will report to him. The move reunites Tucker with Apple General Counsel Jennifer Newstead, his former Meta colleague, and gives Apple a more centralized litigation operation as it faces a growing mix of antitrust, App Store, privacy, and other legal challenges.
