Apple tops forecasts with $114.5 billion in September-quarter revenue

Apple reported $114.5 billion in revenue for the fiscal fourth quarter that ended September 26, a 12% increase from a year earlier and ahead of Wall Street expectations. Net income rose 12% to $30.7 billion, while earnings per share increased 14%; the per-share figure received a small lift from tariff refunds. Strong iPhone sales were the main engine, reaching a September-quarter record of $57.6 billion, and Apple’s services business also set a new high. The result matters because it shows the iPhone is still capable of driving large bursts of growth, while services adds a growing, more recurring source of revenue around Apple’s devices.
