Baidu’s Apollo Go Robotaxis Launch on Uber in Dubai

Monday, August 24, 2026

Baidu’s fully driverless Apollo Go robotaxis are now available through Uber in Dubai, making the city the first market where the two companies’ partnership is live. Riders requesting UberX or Uber Comfort can be matched with an autonomous vehicle, or choose an “Autonomous” option in the app, with the initial service area limited to parts of Jumeirah and Umm Suqeim. The rollout, operated with local fleet partner New Horizon Luxury Transport and backed by Dubai’s transport authorities, is part of the emirate’s push to expand self-driving mobility and gives residents and visitors another way to book rides without a human driver.
