Diriyah commits SAR 2.7bn to five hotels and serviced residences

Diriyah Company has awarded two construction contracts worth SAR 2.729 billion for five luxury hotels and three branded serviced-residence buildings in Diriyah Square, the pedestrian-focused district at the heart of the Riyadh development. The projects will add 413 hotel rooms and 34 serviced apartments, with the contracts covering the buildings themselves as well as finishes and core systems such as air conditioning, power and plumbing. This matters because a destination built around heritage, dining and retail needs places for guests to stay, not just visit for an evening. The awards move part of Diriyah’s hospitality plan from promised brands and masterplans to awarded construction contracts, though the wider development still has much further to build.
