Nvidia and SK Hynix Partner to Develop Next-Generation AI Memory for Vera CPUs

Nvidia and SK Hynix have agreed to a multi-year partnership to develop future generations of AI memory chips, deepening the relationship between the American AI chip leader and one of South Korea’s most important semiconductor suppliers. The deal also comes as Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang said the company’s new Vera central processing units will use SK Hynix memory chips, underscoring how closely the two firms are tying their product road maps together.

According to Bloomberg, the agreement focuses on designing next-generation memory chips for artificial intelligence, a field where demand has surged as companies race to build larger and faster AI systems. The partnership is a significant win for SK Hynix, which has been competing more aggressively with Samsung Electronics in advanced memory used in AI hardware.
