Qualcomm and HUMAIN Sign AI Data Center Deal to Build 200MW Saudi Facility
Qualcomm Technologies and Saudi national AI champion HUMAIN signed a memorandum of understanding to build state-of-the-art AI data centers in Saudi Arabia, deploying 200 megawatts of the company's AI200 and AI250 rack solutions starting in 2026 to deliver the world's first fully optimized edge-to-cloud hybrid AI system. The partnership covers the development of advanced data center CPUs and AI chips, the integration of HUMAIN's Arabic large language models (ALLaM) onto Qualcomm-powered edge devices, and a strategic collaboration with Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to establish a new Qualcomm Design Center in the kingdom. This initiative aims to position Saudi Arabia as a global hub for artificial intelligence infrastructure while nurturing local engineering talent and expanding the nation's semiconductor ecosystem. The agreement, initially announced at the US-Saudi Investment Forum in May 2025, marks Qualcomm's first major hyperscale data center rollout as it competes with rivals like NVIDIA and AMD in the AI infrastructure market.
