Salla buys Paylink to bring payments deeper into its commerce platform

Monday, September 7, 2026

Saudi commerce platform Salla has acquired Paylink, a local payments fintech licensed by the Saudi Central Bank to handle e-commerce payments. The deal gives Salla more than another checkout option: it brings regulated payment infrastructure closer to the platform merchants already use to build stores and run sales. Salla says it plans to use that capability across online stores and physical points of sale, while supporting multiple payment methods, currencies, and international customers. For merchants, the intended payoff is a less fragmented setup—selling, taking payment, and managing it in one system—while Salla gains a more direct role in the financial layer of its customers’ businesses. The deal value was not disclosed.
