Snowflake maps out a $300 million Saudi expansion through 2030
Snowflake says it expects to invest $300 million in Saudi operations by 2030, expanding the local footprint of its platform for managing data and building AI applications. The company plans to add two cloud regions in the second half of 2026 alongside its existing Google Cloud location in Dammam; in practical terms, that gives customers more ways to keep data and computing inside the country while choosing among cloud providers. The plan also supports Snowflake’s regional headquarters in Riyadh, local hiring and partners. Separately, Snowflake and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology aim to train up to 25,000 Saudi learners in data and AI skills by 2030.
