Dubai-based language technology company Tarjama secured $15 million in a Series A funding round led by Global Ventures to accelerate the expansion of its enterprise-focused Arabic.AI platform across the Gulf Cooperation Council and beyond. The investment, which includes participation from Wamda Capital, TA Ventures, and others, will power the rollout of Tarjama’s Arabic-native agentic AI ecosystem designed to help organizations solve complex business processes with agents tailored to the region’s unique language needs. This funding highlights a renewed focus on sovereign enterprise AI in the GCC, as Tarjama plans to double its research and engineering teams, expand sovereign infrastructure, and launch an AI Academy to upskill hundreds of enterprise and government leaders over the next 18 months. The move positions Arabic.AI to outperform major global models on Arabic language tasks while supporting critical enterprise applications in markets including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United States.
