UBS Asset Management Sees Value in Dollar-Denominated Emerging Market Assets
UBS Asset Management’s Shamaila Khan said dollar-denominated emerging market assets are offering strong opportunities, as investors continue to look for relative value in global fixed income markets. In remarks reported by Bloomberg from the sidelines of UBS’s Asian Investment Conference in Hong Kong, Khan also discussed the outlook for emerging markets and Asia-Pacific bond markets.
Her comments come as UBS is staging its expanded Asian Investment Conference across Singapore and Hong Kong this week, with the firm saying the event is intended to bring together policymakers, business leaders and investors to discuss markets, policy and long-term investment themes. UBS said the 29th edition of the conference is running from May 25 to 29 and is expected to draw a record 6,000 attendees.
