Friday, August 28, 2026
Anthropic has agreed to a six-year, up to $45 billion deal with UK infrastructure startup Nscale to secure dedicated computing capacity for training and running its AI models. The agreement reportedly covers about 460 megawatts of power at Nscale’s West Virginia data center campus, using Nvidia’s upcoming Vera Rubin chips, with service expected to begin in late 2027. The deal underscores the fierce race among AI companies to lock up enough computing power to support rapid growth, especially as Anthropic prepares for a possible public offering.
