Saudi Arabia and Syria signed four agreements in Damascus to expand cooperation in transport, aviation, postal services and logistics, in a move aimed at improving connectivity, infrastructure and trade between the two countries. The deals include memoranda of understanding on roads and railways, an air transport agreement, and a postal services agreement linking the Syrian Postal Corporation and Saudi Post. Syrian and Saudi officials said the agreements are meant to build technical capacity, share expertise, and help rehabilitate Syria’s transport networks, which could support wider efforts to revive commerce and transit through the country.
