Apple cuts 200 jobs in Siri and Vision Pro teams as it shifts focus to AI
Sunday, August 23, 2026
Apple is cutting more than 200 jobs across teams working on Siri, Vision Pro, and related software as it redirects resources toward artificial intelligence and new devices. The layoffs include roughly 100 roles in the Vision Pro organization, where Apple is said to be scaling back its immersive video work and largely shutting down a gaming team, along with about 100 positions tied to Siri and software groups. The move shows Apple trimming some of its most ambitious headset efforts while continuing to invest in AI features and future products.
