Apple Releases iOS 27 Public Beta with Redesigned AI-Powered Siri
Apple has released the iOS 27 public beta, granting early access to a completely redesigned, AI-powered Siri that can hold ongoing conversations, search personal data, understand onscreen content, and perform actions across apps. This major overhaul, built on Apple's next-generation Apple Intelligence system, requires an iPhone 15 Pro or newer and initially supports only select English variants, excluding the European Union and China due to regulatory disputes. Beyond the new Siri, the update includes system-wide performance upgrades, a redesigned Screen Time experience, and Visual Intelligence features in the Camera app for real-time object analysis. While the software is free to download without a developer account, users must sign up for the Apple Beta Software Program and may face a waitlist for Siri AI access, with the final release expected in September.
