FlyAkeed secures SAR 94.3 million to finance the next phase of business travel

Thursday, September 3, 2026

Saudi corporate-travel platform FlyAkeed has secured SAR 94.3 million ($25.15 million) in a growth package that combines new equity with a financing facility for its travel-payment product. Sanabil Investments led the equity investment, joined by Artal Capital, tali ventures and Aljazira Capital, while Artal also led the Shariah-compliant Murabaha sukuk financing. The distinction matters: FlyAkeed is not only funding software development; it is also building the financial capacity to let companies book flights, hotels and transport now and pay their travel invoices later on flexible terms. That could make the platform more useful to large employers, where travel spending often involves approvals, policy controls and slow payment processes. FlyAkeed also plans to deepen its AI features and expand across the Gulf.
