Snowflake commits $300m to Saudi expansion through 2030

Thursday, September 3, 2026

Snowflake says it will commit $300 million through 2030 to deepen its Saudi presence, including its regional headquarters, two additional cloud regions planned for the second half of 2026, and AI training for 25,000 people. The company provides a managed platform that brings a business’s scattered data into one governed place for analysis and AI applications. Its cloud regions are local deployments of that service on major cloud providers’ infrastructure, allowing customers to process and retain data inside the Kingdom. The investment is therefore less about office space than about removing a practical obstacle for regulated companies that want to use data and AI without sending sensitive information abroad.
