Gaia raises $1.5 million for Saudi enterprise AI platform

Saudi startup Gaia has raised a $1.5 million pre-seed round led by Seedra Ventures to develop an AI platform for businesses. Its pitch is not a general-purpose chatbot: it pulls together a company’s files, email, systems, and workflows so employees can find approved information, get answers tied to internal sources, and automate routine work. The “sovereign” part means customer data stays inside the organization’s own environment—a selling point for companies that want AI’s usefulness without handing sensitive information to an outside service. Gaia says it will use the money to develop the product and work with Saudi companies on operational uses.
