Google Launches Gemini 3.6 Flash and Two New 3.5 Flash Models for Developers

Google has launched Gemini 3.6 Flash, along with Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite and a security-focused Gemini 3.5 Flash Cyber model, expanding its mid-tier and specialized AI lineup. The new Flash models are available through Google’s apps and developer tools, while Gemini 3.6 Flash is positioned as a faster, more efficient upgrade to earlier Flash versions. At the same time, Google’s long-delayed Gemini 3.5 Pro remains stuck in partner testing, underscoring continued churn at the top end of the product family. This matters because it shows Google is still iterating on its AI roadmap while trying to push out models that are cheaper and more broadly usable for developers and everyday users.
