HUMAIN unveils an AI PC that keeps more intelligence on the device

Saudi AI company HUMAIN and Qualcomm have unveiled Horizon Ultra, a flagship laptop built around Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite chip. Its central pitch is that much of the AI work can happen on the PC itself, rather than sending every request to a remote data center—potentially making responses quicker and keeping more sensitive work local. The first version will use Windows, so this is not yet a break from the conventional PC software stack. But HUMAIN says the next generation, due in 2027, will introduce HUMAIN OS, its own system intended to put AI more deeply at the center of how the computer works. The move gives the PIF-owned company a device-level outlet for its wider AI ambitions while testing whether people want a PC organized around AI, not just AI features bolted onto one.
