Oracle expands Abu Dhabi cloud with Middle East's first NVIDIA Blackwell Supercluster
Oracle is expanding its Abu Dhabi cloud region with the Middle East’s first OCI Supercluster powered by more than 4,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, marking a major boost for sovereign AI capabilities in the region. This UAE-backed infrastructure, announced in November 2025, delivers exceptional compute power for AI training, inference, and research while ensuring data sovereignty for customers in key industries like smart government, energy, healthcare, and finance. The expansion directly supports Abu Dhabi’s goal of becoming the world’s first fully AI-native government by 2027 and positions the UAE as a regional hub for AI innovation. NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs offer up to 30x faster real-time large language model inference and require 25x less energy than previous generations, enabling nations to build specialized AI factories while maintaining local data control.
