Supreme Court preserves mail-order access to abortion pill mifepristone
The Supreme Court on Thursday kept in place, for now, broad access to the abortion pill mifepristone by mail, blocking a lower-court order that would have forced patients to get the drug in person while a legal challenge continues. The unsigned emergency order means abortion providers can keep prescribing mifepristone through telehealth and pharmacies can continue shipping it to patients, at least for the moment.
