The UAE has launched its first operational sovereign AI data center in Ras Al Khaimah, developed by Siada and Innovation City, which provides exclusive access to Nvidia B200 GPUs while ensuring all sensitive data remains under UAE jurisdiction. This facility marks the country's first live deployment of sovereign AI compute, allowing businesses to run advanced AI workloads without transferring sensitive information outside the nation. The move strengthens the UAE's ambition to become a regional AI hub by balancing access to cutting-edge technology with strict data sovereignty requirements. Sovereign AI ensures that critical data, models, and infrastructure stay under local control, enabling the country to govern its AI services independently and securely. This development complements other major UAE AI infrastructure projects, including the $500 billion Stargate data center network in Abu Dhabi.
