Apple’s $299 HomeView goes on sale November 13
Apple’s new HomeView smart display will begin reaching buyers on November 13, after preorders opened Tuesday, with U.S. prices starting at $299. It is a shared, fixed screen for the home: a 7-inch display that can play music and video, make FaceTime calls, show household information, and control connected lights, cameras, and other devices through Siri. Apple already sells HomePods and Apple TV, but neither serves as a purpose-built visual command center for its home system. HomeView is the company’s attempt to make Siri and Apple Home a more visible part of daily household life, rather than something used only through an iPhone or a voice request.
