Aramco completes purchase of 49% stake in HUMAIN

Saudi Aramco has completed the purchase of a 49% stake in HUMAIN, the Public Investment Fund’s AI company, while PIF keeps control with 51%. Aramco is contributing roughly SAR 9.9 billion in cash during 2026 plus selected AI assets, and the two shareholders plan to bring AI capabilities and talent into HUMAIN. The deal makes HUMAIN a shared platform for the costly layers beneath AI: data centers, high-performance computing, cloud services, models, and industry-specific tools. HUMAIN aims to deploy 3 gigawatts of AI data-center capacity by 2030; Aramco gains a route to apply that infrastructure to industrial operations, while HUMAIN gains capital and a major operating partner as it tries to grow globally.
