Aramco works to restore its westbound oil route after pipeline damage

Saudi Aramco is bringing oil flows back to Saudi Arabia’s west coast after damage shut the East-West Pipeline, Energy Intelligence reported. The line is a cross-country shortcut: it moves crude from eastern fields to Yanbu on the Red Sea, giving the company an alternative to exporting through the Gulf. Flows appear to be returning gradually rather than at full strength, while traders position ships around Egypt’s Port Said and Sidi Kerir for ship-to-ship transfers before the crude moves onward. The recovery restores an important backup export chain when usual sea routes have become less dependable, but it does not mean the pipeline is fully repaired.
