CyberHero launches in Riyadh with planned eight-city robot combat season

Riyadh has become the opening stop for CyberHero, a new league that packages humanoid-robot engineering as a live combat sport. Hero Esports staged human-shaped machines in one-on-one bouts, where hits and knockouts decide a best-of-seven contest. The robots are not simply fighting on their own: human teams operate them, so the event tests the machine’s ability to move, balance and recover as well as the operators’ choices. Hero Esports plans an inaugural eight-city circuit across the Middle East, Europe, the Americas and Asia, turning a technology usually seen in lab demonstrations into a repeatable spectator format.
