HUMAIN and SLB target a shared AI layer for energy operations

Thursday, September 3, 2026

HUMAIN and SLB are exploring a collaboration that would combine HUMAIN Fabric, HUMAIN’s system for organizing a company’s data for AI, with SLB’s energy software and operating know-how. The aim is to give AI a fuller view of operations whose information is typically split among geological studies, drilling, production, and facilities systems. SLB’s Lumi platform would provide the energy-specific data foundation, while its Tela AI agents could search and analyze vetted datasets to help engineers with everyday work. The companies are showing the proposed integration at LEAP in Riyadh; it is a planned architecture, not yet an announced deployment with an energy customer.
