Novo Nordisk turns to Anthropic AI to speed drug development

Novo Nordisk has agreed to work with Anthropic on using artificial intelligence to accelerate drug development. Drug development typically moves from research through testing and regulatory review before a medicine can reach patients, and AI does not remove those requirements. The partnership comes as Novo competes in obesity medicines, where successful drugs can materially shape a company's growth. Faster progress in research could be commercially valuable, but the agreement does not itself signal approval or launch of a new medicine.
