Nscale’s $103 billion AI contract book rests on two customers

AI-infrastructure company Nscale says its contracts have grown roughly 1,000-fold in three years to $103 billion, an eye-catching figure as it prepares for a New York listing. But the number is not current sales: it is the potential value of multiyear commitments to provide the data centers and chips that train and run AI systems. Microsoft and Anthropic account for about $87.7 billion, or 85%, of that book, making their future spending central to Nscale’s business. Only $2.6 billion was active at the end of August, and the $44.6 billion Anthropic agreement still depends on Nscale securing financing and meeting delivery and performance milestones—so the backlog signals huge demand, but also an unusually large build-and-finance challenge.
