Replit buys Egypt’s Atta to bring business analysis into chat

Replit, the US company best known for AI-assisted app building, has acquired Egypt’s Atta, whose software turns business questions into data analysis and charts. Atta’s two cofounders will join Replit, and the first result is already live: users can upload or connect a dataset in Replit chat, ask a question in everyday language, and receive an interactive visualization without writing database queries. The point is not just prettier charts. Replit is trying to keep the person who understands a sales, marketing, or retention problem in the same workflow as the data, rather than sending the question through analysts and separate tools. That expands its ambition from helping users make software to helping businesses decide what action to take next.
