Robinhood plans round-the-clock weekend trading for select stocks
Thursday, October 1, 2026
Robinhood plans to let customers trade a selected group of U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds around the clock on weekends, extending a 24-hour weekday service it has offered since 2023. The launch is expected early next year and remains subject to regulatory review; it would use Bruce ATS, a trading venue that can match orders while the main U.S. exchanges are closed. For retail investors, that means being able to react to weekend news rather than wait for Monday. But trading outside normal hours can mean fewer buyers and sellers, which may produce wider price gaps and sharper moves.
