Saudi stocks hit their lowest close since March 2023

Saudi Arabia’s main share index fell 0.74% to close at 10,283.96, its lowest level since March 2023. The drop followed a 12th consecutive week of net selling by foreign investors—a run that matters because it leaves more shares for local buyers to absorb. That does not mean foreign selling alone caused Monday’s decline, but it points to a longer-running retreat in overseas appetite rather than a purely one-day market move. With the index now at a multi-year low, the immediate question is whether domestic demand can stabilize prices while foreign investors remain on the sidelines.
