42AI emerges with a model it says can forecast human behavior
42AI has emerged from stealth with $62.5 million in funding for a system it calls a behavioral world model. The Israeli startup says the model estimates the odds of a person’s choices—even in a setting they have not faced before—by looking for durable tendencies rather than simply matching past actions. Its first use is at 10 financial brokerages, where it combines onboarding, support, money-transfer, and trading signals to forecast how clients may react when markets move, helping firms prepare their liquidity and hedging. That makes its promise more concrete than “predicting people”: it is selling a way to turn expected customer behavior into a risk-management input. But the headline claims need caution: 42AI’s 98% result measures whether overall trading flows stayed within a predicted range, not whether it called every trade, and using such forecasts on clients raises obvious privacy and fairness questions.
