ChatGPT starts building interactive tools inside its answers

OpenAI is rolling out Intelligent UI in ChatGPT, letting the service build an interface inside a reply instead of only producing text or a static image. A question about a bicycle, for example, can become a diagram whose parts the reader can select; a request to split a bill or estimate savings can become a small tool used directly in the chat. The important change is that ChatGPT’s model chooses when a visual, comparison, form, or calculator would explain or complete a task better than paragraphs alone. That turns a prompt into a way to summon temporary, task-specific software, although the feature is currently for ChatGPT’s Chat tab rather than Voice or its Work tab, and users can choose a simpler layout.
