HUMAIN and stc’s center3 start at 250 MW, targeting 1 GW of AI capacity

At LEAP, stc Group CEO Olayan Alwetaid highlighted the company’s infrastructure collaboration with HUMAIN: through stc subsidiary center3, it is set to begin with up to 250 megawatts of AI-ready data-center capacity and aims to grow that to as much as 1 gigawatt. Center3 brings the physical layer—data centers and the networks linking them to users—while HUMAIN supplies the AI side of the partnership. That matters because training and running advanced AI systems requires huge clusters of chips, along with unusually dense power, cooling, and reliable connectivity; ordinary data centers are not always built for that load. The initial 250 MW phase is subject to customer commitments, so the gigawatt figure is a long-term capacity ambition rather than infrastructure already in service.
