HUMAIN and Applied Intuition target thousands of autonomous freight trucks by 2030

Saudi AI company HUMAIN and California-based Applied Intuition plan to put thousands of autonomous freight trucks on key Saudi logistics corridors by 2030, forming a nationwide network they say could become the world’s largest. HUMAIN will provide locally based AI computing infrastructure, while Applied Intuition supplies the software that lets a vehicle sense its surroundings, make driving decisions, and operate without a human driver in defined conditions. Starting with freight is a practical test case: trucks repeat predictable long-haul routes and run around the clock, so successful deployment could raise the capacity of the logistics system rather than simply showcase driverless technology. It is still a target rather than an operating fleet—the partners have not disclosed the routes, investment, phased vehicle counts, or date for full commercial service—but they intend to use the same foundation later for ports, robotaxis, and industrial equipment.
