HUMAIN plans a $10 billion-plus global AI fund

Friday, September 4, 2026

Saudi AI company HUMAIN says it plans to launch a global venture fund this year that could exceed $10 billion, a scale more often associated with sovereign investors than a young technology company. The Public Investment Fund-controlled company wants to back AI startups internationally, with offices planned in the US, Saudi Arabia, France, and the UK, CEO Tareq Amin told Semafor. But it is not pitching itself as a hands-off investor: Amin said portfolio companies would be expected to use Saudi data centers for some computing or bring some employees to the Kingdom. That would make the fund a way to draw AI workloads, businesses, and talent into Saudi Arabia’s growing AI infrastructure—not merely a financial bet on the sector.
