Saudi Arabia seeks to restore half of East-West pipeline capacity within days, source says

Saudi Arabia is working to bring roughly half the capacity of its East-West oil pipeline back online within days, according to a person familiar with the plan. The link was shut as a precaution after drone attacks last week, and the timetable has not been publicly confirmed. The pipeline can carry up to 7 million barrels a day from Saudi oil fields in the east to Yanbu on the Red Sea, giving exporters a route that does not depend on shipping crude through the Strait of Hormuz. Restoring half its capacity would restore a significant export outlet for Saudi oil.
