Seven OPEC+ producers keep December oil targets steady

Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, Kuwait, Algeria, Kazakhstan and Oman agreed to keep December’s oil-production targets at the levels set for September. OPEC+—the producer group that combines OPEC members with partners such as Russia—has now left those targets unchanged for October, November and December, after unwinding an earlier voluntary cut during 2026. The decision keeps planned supply settings stable through year-end rather than adding a fresh increase or cut. Attention now shifts to November 29, when the wider alliance is expected to tackle its more consequential 2027 quota framework, including the production-capacity baselines that determine countries’ future shares.
