Aramco Digital ties industrial AI to its national 450 MHz network

Wednesday, September 2, 2026

Aramco Digital has unveiled iCONNA, a platform meant to bring together the parts industrial AI usually needs to work separately: dependable field communications, connected sensors and equipment, and software that turns their data into decisions. It sits on the company’s national 450 MHz industrial network, a dedicated service rather than a consumer mobile network, designed for sites where lost coverage can interrupt operations. The point is less a standalone AI product than a common operating layer that can link equipment, cameras, radios and sensors, then analyze data close to the work site when fast responses matter. If it performs as intended, iCONNA could make it easier for energy, logistics and heavy-industry operators to deploy monitoring, safety and automation tools without assembling the underlying technology piece by piece.
